But that's sort of the problem once you beat Lilac's Adventure mode, you just experienced 95% of the story. The cheesy parts can be forgiven by how solid the overall story is. It has some emotionally hard-hitting moments (end of Jade Creek and Thermal Base, Final Dreadnought 3), and presents Lilac as a flawed character that's just as hurt by her chronic hero syndrome as she's benefited by it. But all of that would be fine if the non-Lilac characters played a more active role in the story. And that's pretty much it.Īlready, there's a disparity.
